Synopsis

I Quit the Hero’s Party Chapter 172 has been released. In the realm of Eridoria, where the forces of light and darkness are locked in an eternal struggle, the notion of heroism has become a tired cliche. The Hero's Party, a stalwart group of adventurers, has been tasked with vanquishing the Demon Lord and saving the world from the brink of destruction. However, their methods have grown stagnant and uninspired, relying on brute force and unyielding determination rather than clever strategy and innovative thinking. Ashen Wizard Raniel, a brilliant and resourceful member of the Hero's Party, has grown increasingly disillusioned with their approach. Fed up with the party's refusal to think outside the box and adapt to the ever-changing landscape of their quest, he makes the bold decision to quit the party and return to his humble hometown. There, he is warmly welcomed back by his master, a wise and venerable wizard named Zephyr, who recognizes Raniel's exceptional potential and recommends him for a position as an assistant professor at the prestigious Eridoria Academy of Magic. As Raniel embarks on this new chapter of his life, he is met with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. Why, he wonders, are his students so woefully inept at magic? Why do they struggle to grasp even the most basic concepts, despite his best efforts to explain them? It soon becomes clear that Raniel's problem lies not with his teaching methods, but with his own limitations as a educator. A genius like him, accustomed to operating in the rarefied realm of high-level magic, finds it difficult to connect with his students and inspire them to reach their full potential. Thus begins Raniel's hectic new job at the academy, a journey that will challenge him to rethink his assumptions about teaching, learning, and the nature of heroism itself. As he navigates the complexities of academic politics, confronts his own shortcomings as a mentor, and grapples with the weight of his own expectations, Raniel will discover that the true test of heroism lies not in the defeat of a Demon Lord, but in the courage to adapt, to innovate, and to inspire others to do the same. Will he be able to overcome his own limitations and become the teacher he was meant to be, or will he find himself stuck in a rut, unable to live up to his own potential? The fate of Eridoria's next generation of heroes hangs in the balance, and Raniel's journey is only just beginning.
