My Oppa is an Idol

Synopsis

My Oppa is an Idol Chapter 24 has been released. The moment she walked out of the audition room, a recruitment agent spotted Nam Dareum standing by herself, looking utterly defeated. He offered her a chance, albeit not as an aspiring idol – but as his assistant at one of the top entertainment agencies in Seoul. She landed on her feet, taking up the position under the condition that it be just a temporary fix until something better came along. Little did she know, fate had other plans when she was paired with none other than Baek Gisu, the current golden boy of K-pop and a man who seemed oblivious to the trials endured by mere mortals like himself. But life is full of messy coincidences, and Dareum soon found herself forced back onto this same stage after stumbling upon the opportunity to join Baek Gisu's management team through sheer persistence. Despite initial objections, she managed to secure the coveted position at GoldenBell Entertainment, only to discover it belonged to the very man whose pedestal-like status threatened to crush all sense of self-preservation whenever he looked down at her. Within this hotbed of power struggles, she, Nam Dareum, will have to trade songs for checklists, monotony for numbing instant fame and train-the-idol intolerance for talent scouting gurus' eternal niceties. Facing so many unseen obstacles each day has created within Dareum an unnerving blend of rising resentment against those striving to become celebrities coupled with all her initially happy thoughts narrowing into darkness about what an ill-fated pairing Gisu must represent. She cannot wait to escape the newly dug mire to resume some semblance of harmony with genuine human connections, including cultivating ample skills necessary to free herself from petty dependability that would make these popular idol monsters consume everything precious – which includes memories connecting love even though right before she signed with him now lies reality ill-concealing how much darkest legend augurs danger ahead.
