The Postman Walking Through the Apocalypse 아포칼립스를 걷는 우체부
Synopsis
The Postman of the Apocalypse Chapter 40 has been released. Grim streets stretch before postman Ji-Hoon like an endless expanse of bleached bone, the scent of death clinging heavy as he walks his daily route through the ravaged cityscape. It's been years since humanity teetered on the precipice of extinction – how many, even he can't recall – yet this merciless rhythm remains unbroken. Mail arrives, people die, corpses pile up: it's not that anyone sees beauty in this bleak order, but it's simply...routine. Ji-Hoon navigates these desolate thoroughfares without flinching, eyes fixed solely ahead as if staring away any residual shards of memory or conscience that might dare resurface within him. His hands move mechanically, fingers wrapping around bundles of letters destined for vacant homes, cryptic messages marking each door with the same dispassionate fervor he reserved for delivering more mundane bills back when the living walked among them. He doesn't deliver hopes; just more carefully-calculated farewells. Perhaps one day those cease too? When desperation knocks at a door marked 'to whom it may concern,' something barely registers behind Ji-Hoon's calloused expression – could be a glimmer of painful recognition, or perhaps only hunger pangs – because that calculating mind safeguards itself far better than the spent lives littering every angle of this haunted domain ever did.
